Students going through combinations. There are ten basic combinations that they learn, then practice until perfected. These basics include all the elements of Shukokai Karate including punches, kick, strikes and blocks.

This grading requires him to show a level of skill and understanding in his Karate skills that demonstrates a marked improvent from his last level. There are factors that have to be achieved before students are allowed to grade such as time, required amount of lessons ane whether there is a realistic chance of them passing.
Understanding the nature of Shukokai requires knowledge of actual combat or self defence situations. First, in real situations there are no rules. Second, there is no way to predict the situation an attacker will create. Third, an effective defence requires that your response to aggression must be by reflex and appropriate for the particular attack..
At the start and end of each lesson, students undertake exercises as aprt of a warm-up and warm-down procedure that helps them partake in the lesson without pulling muscles or causing strains and then recover from their endeavours before going home. Regular exercise combined with a healthy diet can help to reduce the likelihood of your child being overweight or obese.
The Shukokai style of martial arts consists of hundreds of different techniques. The large variety of these techniques can make Shukokai seem a different martial art from one moment to the next. Its kicking and punching make it what traditional Karate is all about.
Students traditionally line up in grade order from left to right and front to back. This will end up with senior blackbelts on the front row starting left and finishing with the most junior grades on the back to the right. Similarly, they return to their original positions at the end of the lesson.
